FAQs
How long is my photo session?
Generally, there is no set length for a shoot. Together, we’ll work at a comfortable pace, shaping the flow of the shoot, to get the best images for you. When we plan your shoot, we’ll discuss a timeframe that will work for your specific shoot. See Actor's Headshot FAQs for more information on actor’s headshot shoots.
Do you shoot black & white or color?
Because I shoot digitally all shots begin in color. They can easily be converted to black and white. See Actor's Headshot FAQs for more information on color vs. black & white.
What type of lighting do you use?
As I photograph, I love to work with natural light and what it reveals. I find it gives freshness and timelessness to the images we shoot. I use a mixture of natural and studio lighting, and I use variations in the color of the lighting to bring out different moods. See Actor's Headshot FAQs for more information on lighting in actor’s headshot shoots.
What should I wear?
As we all know, when we feel good we tend to look our best. Take some time and consider your wardrobe and your image; what clothing makes you feel your most comfortable and your most dynamic? What makes you feel most deeply attractive? What really feels like you?
When you make your deposit, we’ll send you guidelines for choosing your wardrobe. For actors, See Actor's Headshot FAQs .
Can I bring music?
Yes, you can bring whatever CD’s you would like or your iPod. I also have a full library of music in iTunes so chances are I can turn up something that works for you.
Do we need to meet before the shoot?
We don’t need to meet before the shoot. I’ll provide you with all the information you need to prepare you for the shoot via e-mail. If you have any questions or concerns and want to talk beforehand, I’m always happy to discuss questions that arise. If you would like to come in for a visit prior to your shoot, let me know and we will set that up.
